| TV: Pioneer KRL-32V / KRL-37V Service Mode |
Activating public mode
- Make sure the TV is switched off (not in standby)
- While keeping the 'VOL+' and 'INPUT' buttons on top of the TV pressed, switch on the power, until 'Public Mode' and '---' appears.
- Enter the 3-digit entry code: ??? (anyone any idea?)
Activating service mode
- Make sure the TV is switched off (not in standby)
- While keeping the 'INPUT' and 'MENU' buttons on top of the TV pressed, switch on the power, until 'Service Mode' and '---' appears.
- Enter the 3-digit entry code: 810
Note: According to the service manual to enter adjustment mode the following procedure should be followed (it did not work for me, though):
- Make sure the TV is switched off (not in standby)
- While keeping the 'VOL-' and 'INPUT' buttons on top of the TV pressed, switch on the power, until the letter 'K' appears.
- Then hold the 'VOL-' and 'P-' buttons on top of the TV pressed, until multiple lines of blue characters appear.
When in service mode:
- Use Program up/down to go to the next line
- Use Cursor up/down to get to the next page
- Use Cursor Left/Right to change an item (+10/-10)
- Use Volume Up/Down to change an item (+1/-1)
- Use INPUT to select a different input
- Use RETURN to return to a present page
- Use Enter for executing a function
Here is a printout of the 16 pages of service mode from a KRL-32V.
Note that some settings are TV specific.
Also note that I have no idea what most settings do...., or what the effect will be (you might render your TV inoperable!).
A service manual can be found at www.scribd.com

VCOM == Video signal common voltage
The Vcom voltage needs to be placed exactly at the midpoint of the video signal to avoid flicker.
Due to the variations in construction of each panel, the optimal Vcom voltage can differ from panel to panel or across a single panel. |
